trouble creating a database

im trying to create a database as im installing a php banners module and when i try to create a database i get the following message

 

You have an error in your SQL syntax. Check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near 'ompsco_ffabanners``' at line 1

 

 

what am i doing wrong?

Try using phpMyAdmin to insert the new table. :)

The sql file may have been corrupted. Download it again - save it to your system and try inserting it again.

Note: Opening in something other than a pure text editor can sometimes corrupt it.

I found this with notepad and have changed to textpad.
