phpmysqlhost Posted May 17, 2003 Posted May 17, 2003 I think Oscommerce is awesome, but have one problem. In our application, we have many products that have multiple skus for the same item. Unfortunately with osc, there is no way to address this. It would be better if you could create a new product and then add separate/multiple skus for that product so you do not have to create multiple entries for the same product. For example, one of the things we sell is jeans. The larger size jeans have a different manufacturers sku. We also sell motorcycle helmets and different colored helmets have different skus, even though it's the same item/product. I realize I can use the attributes manager to compensate somewhat, but you're still forced into entering multiple products for what is essentially the same exact item. And example of how this can be handled is the open source cart, FreeTrade. http://share.whichever.com/index.php?SCREEN=freetrade The way they handle the product input in that cart is awesome. Unfortunately, the remainder of the cart doesn't match osc. Thanks, Joe
