Jos Medinger Posted May 16, 2003 Posted May 16, 2003 A client of ours has requested we quote on a job which requires (ideally) - One database holding ALL their (many) products - Three web front ends querying different areas of the database Does anyone know if OSCommerce could achieve this or does it look like a ground up bespoke project? Would OSCommerce require three instances of the software to run 3 sites? If anyone can shed any light, I'd be most grateful! Daemonj Posted May 16, 2003 Posted May 16, 2003 A while back there was someone working on a "mall" contribution that would do exactly what you want. In addition, Lida McGrath (Ajeh) was working on a contribution that would allow a single store to have 3 fronts. To be honest, I do not know the status of either of these items. If Linda does not happen to drop in here and respond, I would suggest sending her a PM to inquire about it. I cannot remember who was working on the mall contribution. The latter cannot understand it when a man does not thoughtlessly submit to hereditary prejudices but honestly and courageously uses his intelligence." - A. Einstein
Jos Medinger Posted May 16, 2003 Author Posted May 16, 2003 Thanks for that Daemonj I'll search the forum for 'Mall' topics and see what returns I get! Cheers Jos =============== Simple yet Creative Get Online Web Design : getonlinedesign.com ===============
