I REALLY hope some of you nice people can help - I have found using OScommerce a JOY with the help I have found on these boards, however I have a problem with my default.php in catalog folder after I have added a form to that page - please check it out at http://www.powerbackgrounds.com/catalog/default.php - you will see that apart from my middle (center) content not being justified to the left column - that it's also sent my entire right column (shopping cart) all the way to the bottom of the page - basically it's what's known as a real mess - can any help? I'm sure it's just some tags (html) I have wrong or something but I cannot seem to work it out - I REALLY appreciate ANY help here! Thanks guys and gals!

Nice site BTW.

I think though that you would be better moving your right column over to your left, this is because your header navigation is shorter and lookas out of place.

I would also get rid of the extra line breaks you have around the site to save space and make the page load faster.

You can also get rid of the my account | my cart | checkout bit and integrate that into your header navigation.

If you would like help on any the above, let me know.

Hi Proy - the header isn't actually finished yet but I appreciate your comments - all I want to do is sort out that flash and form in the center between the left and right columns (and get the right column back to the right) - is there any way you could look at the code to help me?? Would it be easier for me to post it here? I'm really stuck and would appreciate the help greatly! Thanks for your reply! :)

There's a define_mainpage contribution at

http://www.oscommerce.com/community/contributions,86.

You could do all the coding you like in dreamweaver, flash, whatever it is you use, insert the php as required and then just cut it and paste it all in the define_mainpage module in admin. I'm pretty sure that column_right would show up as you'd expect then.

Dont use the define mainpage contribution, its a nightmare. Instead use the define mainpage by mattice, it works a treat and you can specify layout you like. Go look at my site now and the middle bit is done with that. I tried the mainpage one and its a lot of hassle.

What i actually meant was.....................

there is a mainpage contribution that is quite frankly crap.

The define mainpage contibution is very good and easy to use.

It will help you sort the layout of your page.

just before I go and screw things up even more - I am running 2.2MS1 does anyone know if this contrib is OK for that build?? - thanks again

OK well I followed the instructions for the contrib to the "t" but it just all screwed up completely - I have returned my site back to an earlier backup (where I had the form set into flash) and things are backup - I can only presume that the contrib either has something wrong in one of the files (unlikely as other people have installed) - it's not liking 2.2MS1 - or another contrib I have on my site conflicts with it - thank goodness I backed up ;) - want to say thanks for everyone trying to help - I may try again installing this contrib. if someone can tell me what I may of done wrong? I was getting a million faults (parse problems) and couldn't access my admin or the catalog just error error error - thanks again!
