dwbrown Posted May 16, 2003 Posted May 16, 2003 Hello, I have 2.2 MS 1 that is running great both the catalog and the admin. In an effort to get my client to configure the catalog I had them edit: english.php. The only problem is all *.php edits will not save after an edit is completed. I have checked file permissions and the web server httpd.conf has a <Directory> directive that allows access from all but changes to english.php or default.php (or *.php) are lost and not saved to disk upon invocation of the "save" button. Please advise, David.
orchard Posted May 16, 2003 Posted May 16, 2003 You may be having a permissions problem. The admin file editor is often considered a different user than you are so it uses the other permissions instead of the owner permissions. Try making the files writable by others (646 instead of 644). In olden times the men were made of iron and the ships were made of wood; now it's the other way around. :wink:
