navodyne Posted May 16, 2003 Posted May 16, 2003 Hello. I am a new user to osCommerce and let me start off by saying that it is one of the best shopping carts I've seen and the support and third party contributions are outstanding. Anyway, I have a question. When a customer is checking out, this is what they currently see on the "checkout_confirmation" page: Sub-Total: $4,995.00 CAD 7% GST (Reg # 894082874): $349.65 CAD 8% PST: $399.60 CAD Canada Post: $17.70 CAD 15% Shipping Tax: $2.65 CAD Total: $5,764.60 CAD What I need to know is this: Can I have the shipping tax displayed with the order tax? My customers have voiced their concerns about errors or extra processing on their part when their account payables department goes through the invoices and see's the correct GST and PST but then a line for shipping tax, which they then have to break down into the 7% and 8%. What I would like to have displayed is this: Sub-Total: $4,995.00 CAD Canada Post: $17.70 CAD 7% GST (Reg # 894082874): $350.88 CAD 8% PST: $401.02 CAD Total Payable: $5,764.60 CAD Basically, the shipping tax is pre-calculated into the total tax. That way, customers can see directly how much applicable tax without having to do any math on their own. In other words, I want shipping tax to be calculated, just not displayed on a seperate line. I want it added into the order tax. Is this possible?
