Reload Page after downloading

Hi there,

 

I am currently looking at a little cosmetic change in the myAccount area. I am using downloadable material, so after purchase the user can go to "myAccount" and download his/her items. When the download link ist clicked the download pops up which is done by the call of download.php.

 

The allowed downloads is decreased by one, but since the actual page with he link on it doesn't get reloaded, the user won't see the decreased number before he/she reloads manually.

 

Has anyboday an idea to solve this? I've tried about every javascriipt command I know, but either the download doesn't appear or the page doesn't refresh.
