tictric Posted May 15, 2003 Posted May 15, 2003 A local installation on localhost works just fine. The remote installation at my isp used to work just fine. Both are test installations to set the final shop up. After I made some adjustments on the local installation I uploaded all files but the configure.php files to the remote host and do get now the Error message: Error! Unable to determine the page link! Try yourself at http://shop.mislikglas.de/catalog/ Since it's generated from the script code I hope that somebody can make the search easier for me :-) In the wiki doc I couldn't find a hint to this Error. Guest Posted May 15, 2003 Posted May 15, 2003 Sounds like you need to modify configure.php to suit the server you have uploaded your site to.
tictric Posted May 15, 2003 Author Posted May 15, 2003 no the configure.php remained unchanged in catalog/includes and it still doesn't work right. Though I did overwrite admin/includes/configure.php :) but since I corrected these entries admin works just fine again. catalog still doesn't :( At the moment I think it only affects subcategory pages BTW accidentially I password protected the catalog folder but now it's open again http://shop.mislikglas.de/catalog manfred
Druide Posted May 16, 2003 Posted May 16, 2003 if you move/copy your 'project' from your LOCAL box to webbased then double check the: define('DIR_FS_DOCUMENT_ROOT', '<your info>'); define('DIR_FS_CATALOG', '<your info>'); those 2 can break your site completely Robert We all need to learn it once, how hard it may seem when you look at it, also you will master it someday ;)
