unable to determine the page link

A local installation on localhost works just fine.

 

The remote installation at my isp used to work just fine.

Both are test installations to set the final shop up.

 

After I made some adjustments on the local installation I uploaded all files but the configure.php files to the remote host and do get now the Error message:

 

Error!

Unable to determine the page link!

Since it's generated from the script code I hope that somebody can make the search easier for me :-)

 

In the wiki doc I couldn't find a hint to this Error.

Sounds like you need to modify configure.php to suit the server you have uploaded your site to.

no the configure.php remained unchanged in catalog/includes and it still doesn't work right.

 

Though I did overwrite admin/includes/configure.php :) but since I corrected these entries admin works just fine again.

catalog still doesn't :(

 

At the moment I think it only affects subcategory pages

 

BTW accidentially I password protected the catalog folder but now it's open again

how did you fix the problem

if you move/copy your 'project' from your LOCAL box to webbased then double check the:

  define('DIR_FS_DOCUMENT_ROOT', '<your info>');

 define('DIR_FS_CATALOG', '<your info>');

 

those 2 can break your site completely
