Image Display

Is there a way to show more than one image per cart item? For example, I'm selling T-shirts and I need to display front and back. I've considered creating a animated gif but when you have 100 shirts and you can only put 2 maybe 3 because of file size issue. Or if I put front & back on one image file then I have a image size that could be as wide as 500 pixels in order for the the artwork on the front & back of t-shirt to be clear.

Unless there is a way to have thumbnails rather than the actual image that will be displayed when it is previewed at ENLARGE.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I know on my site there is Thumbnails!! I had the same problem with some of my products. The thumbnails saved me! There should be a click to enlarge button under the picture.

There is a contribution called MoPics, go to downloads, contributions and search in the new little search box.

You can add 6 new photos per product, with an additional 6 more large photos, for a total of 12 additional if you need them.

There is also a Dyamic MoPics

Just went to your store and noticed that your enlarge is only enlarged slightly. I need enlarging of 3-5 times enlarged. If I do that then I run into download problems.

Your thumbnail is not a seperate file of your enlargment. There is no way around this under this system, is there? Where I can have 2 seperate files a thumbnail and an enlargement.

loxly,

Thanks just dowloaded mopics. Unfortunately I'm wet behind the ears still with regards to osCommerce. I think I'll wait a little while before I start changing code. I was hoping there was an easier way but nevertheless its good to know that it can be done.

Thanks

Also in the images contributions is one called triple images that allows you to have thumbnail and large separate images.

To try your hand at adding a contribution, install osc in a second subdirectory and edit the files and test them there.

That way you don't hurt your "real store" while you are trying out changes. Then just upload your changed files to the real store directory.

Yes it is one file. I set the image size to A x B. However depending on what item you are looking at depends on how much it will inlarge. What you do is create the JPG and enlarge the item save it then shrink it to fit as a thumbnail. Then when people click on the enlarge button it will open to the original size I will try to get some examples...

i forgot to mention: the additional images are unlimited

the three-images contribution is IMHO very very very bad code, as it uses hardcoded attempts and relies on the user to supply correct images, which gets VERY annoying ... that's why the shop should get just ONE image uploaded and process it until it fits all needs of the shop (unfortunately GD2 is poorely supported so i had to rewrite my gd2 code to shellcalls because locally tested apps did not run on the server... just as hint for everybody doing the same i did)
