Hello,

I've succeded to install the 2.2 version within my own PC.

I'm using Windows 2000 professional.

I'm installing PHPDEV5.

While I'm trying to register any user account it gives me this error message:

Warning: Failed to Connect in c:phpdev5wwwcartcatalogincludesclassesemail.php on line 502

Warning: Cannot add header information - headers already sent by (output started at c:phpdev5wwwcartcatalogincludesclassesemail.php:502) in c:phpdev5wwwcartcatalogincludesfunctionsgeneral.php on line 29

the same error message appears when Im trying to use the contact us feature???

Note: Users registered after this error message and they can use the OSCommerce but why it appears ???

Hope to get moe advice.

thank you and sorry for my bad english.

well if you try a search on this forum BEFORE you post your question then you get an answer the same second (most of the time)

Another thing is this is NOT the forum to ask questions, please read the FAQ / rules

The answer on your question is an extra space

Just eliminate them and read the RULES

Let's try to keep this forums in order in stead of posting just anywhere where the new topic buttons are ;)

We all need to learn it once, how hard it may seem when you look at it, also you will master it someday ;)

Your problem is that your computer does not have an SMTP server therefore it cannot send emails. To solve this problem go to:

admin  configuration  emails

then turn send emails off.

That should sort your problem.

Thanks

Goto: Admin>Configuration>E-Mail Options. Then click on the E-Mail Transport Method and change from 'sendmail' to 'smtp'.

Make sure though that you have entered your email details correctly in the php.ini file (in the PHP directory), and you have Outlook Express (or other Email program running) otherwise it wont work.

I am sure it will work as I have just done this myself and works perfectly, also the email address I am using is my default - which I dont think matters but I changed it to be as such just in case.

If you still get a error message, re-install and make sure all the files are pointed correctly. But, if you have got this far I can only think its the earlier ammendment thats needed.
