jdessel Posted May 14, 2003 Posted May 14, 2003 I can't seem to figure out how to change the color of the horizontal light blue bar that runs across the top of the page with "My Account" etc. in it. I changed everything in the stylesheet but none of the Header stylesheets effects the bar itself. I was able to change the background color of the link in the bar to the color I wanted but just not the bar itself. I checked through every style sheet. Is there somwhere else where the color of this bar is set? Someone on another forum posted the link to the documentation that has the explanation of the different stylesheets but that document still doesn't seem to be able to provide me with the solution. I'm thinking the color of that one element is set somewhere else and I just don't know where? Thanks for any help.
jdessel Posted May 14, 2003 Author Posted May 14, 2003 Here's the link to my site so far (I just started to it's still a mess in progress) but you will see where I can't change the color properly: http://www.everywearpromotions.com/catalog/default.php And nothing in the style sheet seems to make it work. It's not a cache problem, I've been able to change everything except that one single element and I've been trying for two days. Thanks for any help. Jackie
singspiel Posted May 14, 2003 Posted May 14, 2003 Yes it is definately in your stylesheet. Look under TD.headerNavigation and change the background value. Nev
Daibheid Posted May 14, 2003 Posted May 14, 2003 Under http://wiki.oscommerce.com there is a guide on what each of the stylesheet elements does. D.
jdessel Posted May 14, 2003 Author Posted May 14, 2003 Thank you, it worked. I had originally opened up the stylesheet in Dreamweaver and gone through everything and changed the colors there. I did this three times and couldn't figure out what I was missing. Anyway this time I just opened it in cpanel's file manager and did it manually and was able to find exactly what you told me to look for and it worked. I guess I'll edit the stylesheets by hand in there from now on. Thank you for your help! Jackie
Visceral Posted May 14, 2003 Posted May 14, 2003 I do my editing in DW as well and had no problem editing the style sheet with it. Strange.
