magicproshop Posted May 13, 2003 Posted May 13, 2003 I am wanting to convert my existing shop in which I use the SunShop 3.1 cart by Turnkeywebtools over to the OS Commerce cart. I have over 500 products and 500 customers to convert (import) over. I need to make the conversion as seemless as possible for my customers. I need for my customers to be able to use their current login info and passwords to log into the new shop. Does anyone know what all I will need to do to convert to OS Commerce? So long as the data can be placed into a text file that can be imported into MySQL everything will be okay. You main catch part will be the passwords. If the passwords in your current shop are encrypted (as they should be), then you will not be able to transfer them over. Unless you wish to assign all of your customers a new, temporary password then you would not want to carry over any of their information.
