andyhk Posted May 13, 2003 Posted May 13, 2003 PayPal is too complex and time consuming to most of the people that they won't bother seting up an account there. Any better way of accepting credit cards beside PayPal? I heard about 2checkout and Paysystems and some others. Which one is the best? :?: :?: :?: Thank you
burt Posted May 13, 2003 Posted May 13, 2003 2checkout is very easy to get set up and running. I've never heard any bad horror stories about using them...very good if you are in the US, not so good for International Users. http://www.2checkout.com/cgi-bin/aff.2c?affid=18157 I have no experience of Paysystems at all, so cannot comment on them.
andyhk Posted May 13, 2003 Author Posted May 13, 2003 I am located in Canada. Is 2Checkout still good?
wizardsandwars Posted May 13, 2003 Posted May 13, 2003 2checkout is ok if you process under $1000 per month, and as long as you never have a chargeback, or refund. They are kind of expensive, though, at 5.5% plus something like $.35 per transaction. And the support is nonexistant. A merchant account and gateway, on the other hand, is a less expensive than 2checkout if you process over $1000 per month, and support is generally much much better. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- NOTE: As of Oct 2006, I'm not as active in this forum as I used to be, but I still work with osC quite a bit.
