Guest Posted May 13, 2003 Posted May 13, 2003 Hi, I have one item that costs $30 and weighs 15 lbs. The shipping table rate schedule is as follows set to weight: 25:10.00,50:15.00,100:18.00,500:25.00 I put 5 items in the cart that costs a total of $150.00. The shipping rate at checkout says $30 total for shipping. How did this happen? How is this suppose to work? Also, the shipping & packaging in configuration is setup and this is not showing.
Daemonj Posted May 13, 2003 Posted May 13, 2003 Melinda, What was the total weight of the 5 items (that totaled $150)? The total value of the items does not come into play here, only their weight. Also, what is the setting for your Max Package Weight you will ship (Admin ~ Configuration ~ Shipping/Packaging)? My guess is that the total order weight was above the Max Package Weight therefore causing the order to be split into 2 boxes. So if your max ship weight was set for 50, and your order was split into 2 boxes that each weighed over 25lbs. then your shipping cost should be $30 ($15 x 2 boxes).
