jdessel Posted May 13, 2003 Posted May 13, 2003 Hi, I have a question about setting up my product catalog. I sell promotional items and I need to be able to display my prices as a price range instead of one price, in the Category listing and everywhere. I insert tables in every product's description to show the quantity pricing but when I go to input the product's price range into the price field it doesn't work. Is there a way around this? Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks. Jackie EDITED: Topic moved to a more appropriate forum. Paulino Posted May 13, 2003 Posted May 13, 2003 That sounds like something you could perhaps do with "attributes". Start by listing a basic price eg the cheapest rate, then have attributes for each price band. I don't know if anyone can suggest a good introduction to setting-up attributes - I couldn't find one.
jdessel Posted May 16, 2003 Author Posted May 16, 2003 Sorry for posting the original message in the wrong place. I need to be able to have my catalog pages display my products with a price range instead of just a price. Instead of just a dollar amount listed under the thumbnails I need to be able to say "as low as $3.00". Examples: http://www.branders.com http://www.epromos.com Is there any way I can get the Price field, when I'm entering a product's information into the database using the Admin interface, to accept either of the kinds of entries above in red? The way it is now I can only get it to accept one amount for the price and that's it. If I put a range in, it only shows me the first price. Any ideas on what I can do for this?

Is this what you are looking for?
Jeremy at oddly enough Posted May 18, 2005 Posted May 18, 2005 I'd think you'll need to an another field to the product for price range, then have the index.php and product_info.php call that info up to display. You'll probably have an easier time working volume discounts either with an existing contrib, or by using attributes, and have a base price to work from that remains in the products_price in the db. Farnastic Posted February 22, 2006 Posted February 22, 2006 I'm in similar situation, but instead what I need is to display As low As and the last price from the table. I use the Shop Enhancement Controller, however, it displays the first price. I need something similar to this website: http://www.actionprintinginc.com Any help will be appreciated. far
