Guest Posted May 12, 2003 Posted May 12, 2003 I feel dumb  But I forgot my user and pass, and I reinstalled my comp, so how can fix this, any files that i have to copy over or what can i do without damaging info and modification, please let me know... Please please Thank You in advance
zlack Posted May 12, 2003 Posted May 12, 2003 you lost your user/pass for what? an account? the admin? zlack It's easier to remember, then to forget
Guest Posted May 12, 2003 Posted May 12, 2003 Yes for the admin side, so i can't modify anything anymore...
zlack Posted May 12, 2003 Posted May 12, 2003 did you use a contribution? or did you put .htaccess & .htpasswd files in there? if you put .htaccess and .htpasswd files in there you can delete them and create new ones. if you used a contribution, then it depends on which contribution you used how to fix the problem. zlack It's easier to remember, then to forget

zlack Posted May 12, 2003 Posted May 12, 2003 1. Go to http://www.e2.u-net.com/htaccess/make.htm and type your new username and password 2. Edit .htaccess on your server 3. Insert the line given by the above url 4. Refresh your browser and type username/password. 5. Done Good luck, zlack It's easier to remember, then to forget

Scottcom Posted May 13, 2003 Posted May 13, 2003 quick question...I followed this thread and also got it working with the code derived from the link you provided. I went here http://www.kelv.net/programming/htaccess/ the code it generated kept me from being able to login. The string both sites output is much different for the same passwords, what did I miss? Thanks
