I feel dumb :oops:

 

But I forgot my user and pass, and I reinstalled my comp, so how can fix this, any files that i have to copy over or what can i do without damaging info and modification, please let me know...

you lost your user/pass for what? an account? the admin?

Yes for the admin side, so i can't modify anything anymore...

did you use a contribution? or did you put .htaccess & .htpasswd files in there?

 

if you put .htaccess and .htpasswd files in there you can delete them and create new ones.

 

if you used a contribution, then it depends on which contribution you used how to fix the problem.

Yes I have the .htaccess and .htpass so how do i create new ones exactly , sorry I ahve no idea, cause I went to those, I modifying to what my understanding was and it didn't work

1. Go to http://www.e2.u-net.com/htaccess/make.htm and type your new username and password

2. Edit .htaccess on your server

3. Insert the line given by the above url

4. Refresh your browser and type username/password.

5. Done

quick question...I followed this thread and also got it working with the code derived from the link you provided.

 

I went here

http://www.kelv.net/programming/htaccess/

 

the code it generated kept me from being able to login. The string both sites output is much different for the same passwords, what did I miss?
