Guest Posted May 12, 2003 Posted May 12, 2003 Hello everyone. I know I have seen this question around before. But have had no success finding it. I have been watching surf my site then like an item (I assume) then go to the sign in page. At this point they just sit there and time out. I would like to remove the force of the sign in. I would like to make this part of the check out, allowing people to add items to a cart then click checkout> which would force a login or sign up. Thanks for all your help Charles
wizardsandwars Posted May 12, 2003 Posted May 12, 2003 People can add items to their cart, and then click checkout, which then asks for their information. That's how OSC already works. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- NOTE: As of Oct 2006, I'm not as active in this forum as I used to be, but I still work with osC quite a bit. If you have a question about any of my posts here, your best bet is to contact me though either Email or PM in my profile, and I'll be happy to help.
Guest Posted May 12, 2003 Posted May 12, 2003 No this is not true. Check out my site: www.wholesalemn.com Pick any item and try to add it to your cart! You are forced to sign in.
Cerberus Posted May 12, 2003 Posted May 12, 2003 You don't have an Add to Cart button, just a Sign In button. What modifications have you been doing? You also have an error at the botton of each page: Error! Unable to determine connection method on a link! Known methods: NONSSL SSL
Guest Posted May 12, 2003 Posted May 12, 2003 Yeah the error is due to a 1-800-flowers link. once you log in it changes to the correct image... Hummm.. Not to worried about that right now. However I have the webmaker contribution on there and I think that is what is doing it. I have the Paypal. 2 checkout on there. umm what else. the Privacy statement. But I am thinking that the Webmaker contribution is doing it. But this is really sad to see people come to my store off Google and click that signin page then just leave.... :(
Orphon Posted May 12, 2003 Posted May 12, 2003 You have installed something that requires login to add something to cart..... notice the pink line on top.... It is a Contribution, not how OSC works from the begining.... so if you do not waht that, uninstall whatever mod it was. Angela
Guest Posted May 12, 2003 Posted May 12, 2003 Humm I don't know which one made that happen... YIKES  well Time to get to work.. If anyone has any Ideal please feel free to state them I will be check up between the Wild game and going to the twins game tonight..
