vifra Posted May 12, 2003 Posted May 12, 2003 Hi: I will be selling all digital products I did the setup as follows: Download Enable download true Download by redirect true Expiry delay (days) 3 Maximum number of downloads 3 But now I do not understand what to do next I went to insert a product but it does not give me an option to set it up to be downloaded. I search the forums but most post are about a module but if it is already in the program how do I use it. I read the wiki manual and could not find nothing either. Man I love oscommerce I just wish there was better documentation for us newbees thank the lord for this forum and the kind members. Please help this lonely soul :cry:

vifra Posted May 12, 2003 Author Posted May 12, 2003 Ok I hope this helps, the thing is after you enable the download option you insert the items like you would normaly do after you must go to Catalog/ Products Attributes you will see that the item you just entered its at the bottom of the page modify settings that fit your particular Item important that you place 0 in value I do not know why but if I had some value there my download link did not work. vibehost Posted May 20, 2003 Posted May 20, 2003 Ok, i got it (finally). I learned you have to have the file in the /download folder, then link it. Anyways, I still can't figure out how in the heck to bypass the Shipping Page for downloadable products...
Ajeh Posted May 20, 2003 Posted May 20, 2003 The Downloads Controller v5.3 helps manage the downloads and when they are available for immediate download or delayed based on Payment method used. It also allows for Free Shipping based on 0 weight or Free Charge based on 0 price.
