magtaf69 Posted May 12, 2003 Posted May 12, 2003 I ahve an issue and I believe its with refreshing or persistent cart or something. When you add an iten to the cart and you log yourself in, then proceed to checkout averything works fine until there. Then the shipping method is chossen, then you click on continue and it stays in select shipping method. It will not procedd to choose payment type. But if you click on check out on the nav bar then it refreshes to the payment type screen. After this point everything works fine. The porblem is goint from shipping to payment on one single click. Guest Posted May 12, 2003 Posted May 12, 2003 When I click on Checkout, it autoatically takes me to the Create Account page. It never asks me if I'm a new or existing User. Is that the way you want it to be working? -R

Since you had listed a preconfigured Account in your previous message, I didn't know if you had other issues going on. What happens when you have a Customer that already has an account? Won't they also be transferred and asked to create an Account? There isn't anywhere that asks if I am an existing Customer or a new Customer. That seems like it could be a bit confusing to people. -R
magtaf69 Posted May 12, 2003 Author Posted May 12, 2003 Yes, in the creat account process is asks the client on the first line, "NOTE: If you already have an account with us, please login at the login page." This is what the contribution I installed does, it tries not to scare the client in registering, just to Register. Its a little less intimidating. But you can still login with the test ID I have created to test the check out process issue. Please HELP!!! :(
Orphon Posted May 12, 2003 Posted May 12, 2003 You have USPS and UPS for shipping.... they both have an error... you need to check that out... There is no shipping method to choose that is working correctly.. Angela

Guest Posted May 12, 2003 Posted May 12, 2003 I use USPS, actually USPS Methods contrib, and it works fine. For both UPS and USPS, in order to get RealTime shipping quotes, you have to signup on their respective websites and get your login and password information. Just as Orphon said... If you didn't have any shipping options functional and working, thats why it was looping back to checkout shipping. Hope this helps. -R
