Jeffrey_Questad Posted May 10, 2003 Posted May 10, 2003 I am cutting my teeth on a practice version of OSCommerce that was intalled by my web host and done wrong in a few ways. I want to start over with a clean install. No problem bulldozing the database, but I can't just "delete" the actual OSCommerce files because I get an error saying "Directory is not empty" and it won't allow me to erase directories..... unless I go in to the folder in question, which is always the CVS folder, and delete the 4 files in there indivividually first. Since there are seemingly an endless number of CVS folders, this is a big pain. I'm simply using Dreamweaver as my FTP client, so I'm trying to delete files from the server in Dreamweaver's Site window. Anyone have a recommendation for me on a better way to delete these files so I can do a new install? J
Guest Posted May 10, 2003 Posted May 10, 2003 If you have SHELL access to your site, you can SSH and handle this from the command line. From the root of osC... CHMOD 777 ./* Good Luck. -R
♥olby Posted May 10, 2003 Posted May 10, 2003 I suggest you get "dressed" for this by a program like WS-FTPpro from http://www.ipswitch.com/purchase/Products/ws_ftp.html The free version can't do it, but the $39.95 version can. I use it my self. Best Regards olby
