Unistalling.... CVS folders won't delete

I am cutting my teeth on a practice version of OSCommerce that was intalled by my web host and done wrong in a few ways. I want to start over with a clean install. No problem bulldozing the database, but I can't just "delete" the actual OSCommerce files because I get an error saying "Directory is not empty" and it won't allow me to erase directories..... unless I go in to the folder in question, which is always the CVS folder, and delete the 4 files in there indivividually first.

Since there are seemingly an endless number of CVS folders, this is a big pain.

I'm simply using Dreamweaver as my FTP client, so I'm trying to delete files from the server in Dreamweaver's Site window. Anyone have a recommendation for me on a better way to delete these files so I can do a new install?

If you have SHELL access to your site, you can SSH and handle this from the command line. From the root of osC... CHMOD 777 ./*

Good Luck.
