Login issues/questions

I have two questions actually.

 

1. How do I allow people to retain login info? I do not see a configuration that addes a "remember my info" radio button.

 

2. After a client logs in I do not want them to go to their account information. I want it to return to the catalog default.php.

 

I've looked around but after staring a code for a few hours, my eyes are going buggy :shock:
