Qwackmaster Posted May 8, 2003 Posted May 8, 2003 I want to use OSCommerce as a CMS. I've looked at all the Nukes, Xaraya, Xoops, etc... But since I'm already somewhat familiar with what OSC can do, I figured I'll stick with what's easiest. Another critical point for me is that OSC is the most robust e-commerce solution out there (for the price). And with the PHPBB contribution it will be very nice to have everything integrated into one system. Just 2 things I'm not sure about though...Hoping someone can help... (1) How to setup a Links Index with ratings, reviews, etc...(similar to www.IndexU.com) (2) How to setup a WYSIWYG-type text entry system in the Admin so that I can update the contents of *every* "box"? Now for the REALLY crazy part...I'm not planning on using the e-commerce features at all right now. I just want the e-com option to be there ready to go...just in case. Am I making this harder than it should be? You've tried to philosophize your pain but the hurt's in your heart and not in your brain
BHM Posted May 8, 2003 Posted May 8, 2003 That's exactly what I wanna do with OSCommerce. Since I'm an abolute beginner with this I hope this is going to work. Greetings Bernhard

mazza Posted May 10, 2003 Posted May 10, 2003 (2) How to setup a WYSIWYG-type text entry system in the Admin so that I can update the contents of *every* "box"? Mozilla and composite seem to be the best and most flexible solution so far: http://composite.mozdev.org/ "Use no way as way, have no limitation as limitation." - Bruce Lee
loxly Posted May 10, 2003 Posted May 10, 2003 If you look through the contributions you will find info pages, information page, newsdesk, faqdesk, a simple forum, a simple links, an info box controller, 2 or 3 themes managers. Put them all together and let us know what you get :) [no external urls in signatures please, kthanks]
