Alex H Posted May 4, 2003 Posted May 4, 2003 Hi, is there a way or contribution to hide the categories in the categories box, wich has no products in it? - A subcategorie should not be shown, if products count = 0 - A top level categorie should not be shown, if products count = 0 and if all related subcategories has also a products count = 0 thx for help Alex
networkdad Posted May 4, 2003 Posted May 4, 2003 I dont know of one that will hide if zero, but there is one to hide categories from admin: http://www.oscommerce.com/community/contri...ions,326/page,4
Alex H Posted May 4, 2003 Author Posted May 4, 2003 i tested this already, but I need a query, so the hiding process is done automatically. The products table will be updated by our inhouse system and I won?t check the categories wich has products everytime by myself. This could happen several times a week - too much work
networkdad Posted May 4, 2003 Posted May 4, 2003 Looks like someone else had the same question quite some time ago, maybe this bit of code will get you on the right track: http://www.oscommerce.com/forums/viewtopic.php...mpty+categories
Alex H Posted May 4, 2003 Author Posted May 4, 2003 :D works fine! I tuned it a little and now it?s exactly what I wanted! thanx a lot ps: I try to make a new category box (design and functions) and release my first contribution
