Help - Catagories Box

Aspen_AGB

Recommended Posts

I've been trying to get rid of the annoying "->" when there are sub-catagories under a certain catagory, and also the number of product thing...

ex:

DVD's -> (44)

that really irratates me.... :shock:

anyways, I'd like to do this on my own, but I've tried and can't seem to figure where they are coming up with this code... any help/walkthrough would be extremely appreciated :D

I think you need to comment out these 3 lines in includes/boxes/categories.php

    if (tep_has_category_subcategories($counter)) {

     $categories_string .= '->';

   }

In olden times the men were made of iron and the ships were made of wood; now it's the other way around. :wink:

the problem is... thats already gone... I've changed it to:

   if (tep_has_category_subcategories($counter)) {

    if ( ($id) && (in_array($counter, $id)) ) {

         $categories_string .= '<img src="images/cat_arrow_down.gif" align="absmiddle"> ';

       } else {

         $categories_string .= '<img src="images/cat_arrow_right.gif" align="absmiddle"> ';

       }

} else {

  $categories_string .= '<img src="images/cat_arrow_other.gif" align="absmiddle"> ';

}

got that from the contrib section..... and it didn't stop that annoying "->" from coming around :(

    if (tep_has_category_subcategories($counter)) {

     $categories_string .= '->';

You should search for -> or -&gt in categories.php. Can you post the whole file?

Does images/cat_arrow_right.gif happen to look like the arrow you don't like?

In olden times the men were made of iron and the ships were made of wood; now it's the other way around. :wink:
