Check out the "tare weight" in the configuration section of your admin panel.

Click on "Shipping/Packaging" and you'll be able to set the tare weight for your packages.

It is default to 3 Lbs I beleive so that is why you are having that problem!

Hi i put it at .50lbs and it works but when i put something that is 5lbs and then .5lbs it adds the shipping prices together instead of just charging $10 which it should be doing, anyone willing to look at it for me?

The Tare weight is being included with the order.

.5 = 5.5

5 = 10

7 = 12

Large packages beyond 14lbs then adds an additional weight of 10% more.

Set the Tare to 0 and the Large to 0 and your calculation works.
