Error: Catalog images directory does not exist:

It seems like you are missing planet-c in the path to the images. /usr/local/apache/htdocs/images/ doesn't seem like the correct path because there is nothing specific to your domain in it. http://host55.ipowerweb.com/~planet-c/images/ shows a directory of your images so both the directory and the images are there it's just the path that is set wrong. The problem is probably in admin/includes/configure.php. The images look OK in the store, so includes/configure.php is probably OK.

In olden times the men were made of iron and the ships were made of wood; now it's the other way around.

i'm having the same problem AuraDev above. my admin/includes/configure.php looks like this. I think where i'm getting it wrong is in the https shared certificate as when i load it all on a normal http i can get the store working no problem. thank you for any help given.

ok so I tried installing oscommerce on my web host.. no problems, the problem was that ipower sucks.

I have had problems using with oscommerce and them before.. now I know for certain. I'm no longer allowing my clients to use ipower.. I always have problems with their servers..

also watch out for Omnis... their servers dont have basic features... like phpMyAdmin. And their tech support guy wasnt helpful at all when I called for help.

Hi,

I find out, that all pictures in the catalog, that will be displayed, have the CHMOD 740.

By uploading with the admin-modul there will be a 600. Changing by hand will display all pictures.

I had put both server addresses as https because i decided that it would be more secure to sit the whole thing on SSL. I have now turned SSL off as it doesn't seem to make a difference.

now sorted my prob of the non appearing images , heres the solution if helpful to anyone.

on the line

define('DIR_WS_CATALOG', '/catalog/'); // absolute path required

i needed to change to

define('DIR_WS_CATALOG', '/cctvcity/catalog/'); // absolute path required

a good way to solve this kind of thing is to right click and get properties of missing images and then you can get a good idea of what address is wrong in configure.php.

thanks all
