Please take a look at my first ever site at www.heavenlybodice.com

Not a huge number of mods but it works and has made sales. Constructive comments are very welcome.

Loadtime for me was fine. Site looks good 8) .

You have an image missing for the matching sets category.

Have to agree with Warren about the banners. :( Maybe you could put them on another page, or have just a couple in rotation?

Site looks very tasteful and appealing, I wouldn't have looked at the bottom of the page if I didn't see the other comments, I would have already been in the categories doing some shopping.

The banners are detracting to the overall professional look to your store. I really like the colors and layout. I would personally put all the banners in the banner rotation. It doesn't require the banners all be the same size.

I'll take a longer look when I am not at work :)

Thanks for the comments guys. Just a note to explain the banners. I agree that they don't look great, BUT as a new site we need traffic, and to be listed on all those shopping sites requires you to display their banner.

Hopefully, once our affiliate scheme is up and running we will be able to remove them, as we will get listed without displaying the banners then.

HEHE - Why dont you do my trick??

On some of the banners - they will use the <img> tag - just make them size to 1px nobody will see them, yet they still get logged...

It would also be against the rules of the site requiring the link back. It should be sufficient to have the banners in your banner rotation and truthfully, you won't get much traffic from those sites anyway.

You could also set up the banners in a table and have them be in a more unified display. And like I said, I really wouldn't have gotten to the footer if I hadn't been clued in to check there, because the site and products are so well done.

My opinion, lose the banners, don't worry about not being on those lists and do other things to get traffic. It will take about a month for the search engines to find you and you don't need the links from those other sites.

Thank you all very much for the kind comments. This won't be my only store as I have another 2 lined up already (for myself) and this gives me a little more confidence.
