Having OSC calculate prices..... how?

Is it possible to have OSC calculate prices?

There would be a sitewide/categorywide field with a margin, for example 30%, and when adding the product one would only insert our cost of the product.

So the final price would be cost*margin+tax

Can this be done???

This is for Administration, right?

Can you explain more clearly! And what you mean with what "sitewide/categorywide field with a margin"?

Thanks for your answer ;)

What I want is this:

Instead of putting the final price for the customer when inserting a new product, I would like to have OSC calculate this price for me. I would only insert the cost, what the product cost me, the store owner.

Somewhere would be a field in the configuration containing a margin that I would like to apply on top of the cost, like for example 30%. On top of that would come the tax.

So, imagine I insert a price for a leather jacket.

The Jacket cost ME 100$ plus tax. That would be the price I inserted into OSC.

To the customer, that price would appear as 130$ plus tax, because OSC calculated this for me.

When I say SiteWide or CategoryWide, what I mean is, if all this is possible, if I can have that margin on a per-category basis. So I could have 20% for Leather Jackets and 12.5% for Men's shoes.....

Your welcome!

... It's so spesific request. Anyway, this could be done by:

1. Adding new column to table categories_description

2. Creating the front end by hacking categories.php
