John-Peter
Hi, I work on an add-ons for BS Edge. Almost finish, just want to know if anybody will be interested in that one. I know it's not a big thing but I think it's can be interesting for some people. I want to see the listing of the New Products added by Date instead by the Products id. Because the New osCommerce listing New Product by Products id and I don't know why it has changed for that. If a new customer come to your shop, he will see only a bunch of new products that is not the last added to the shop. I included two optional step in the add-ons: Optional #1: If you have like me the add-on Scroll Boxes and you want to scroll the new products by last date added. You can see this add-ons at: https://apps.oscommerce.com/mXsqv&scroll-boxes Optional #2: You can add a field in the Admin Panel Catalog Products Editing for changing the Products Date Added. So you can control the new products listing in your shop. I have included two screenshot for that. Here two screenshot for the Admin Panel: Edited November 24, 2017 by John-Peter Screenshot added Quote John -------------------- osCommerce 2.3.4 Bootstrap Edge
♥14steve14
I may be missing something here, but when you add a new product in oscommerce it creates a new product ID automatically. Its the next one available from the database. So when I view new products, sorting by product ID shows the latest product first as it has the highest product ID number. Sorting by date will give the same results as product ID. Like I say I may be missing something. Quote REMEMBER BACKUP, BACKUP AND BACKUP
John-Peter
I know, But if you play with your Database or you want to change a product list order, you will be able by changing the added date in the admin products editing. Example: You delete a product because it was discontinued or something like that and you have this product for a long time. Or if you delete this product by mistake or what reason you want. You don't want this product listed as new. So you go to the admin editing product and you change the date added. This was a request I receive for a shop owner, so I decided to create this for him.... Is this make sense ? Quote John -------------------- osCommerce 2.3.4 Bootstrap Edge
