carrzkiss
Hello All; I have ask this question before a few weeks ago, and have been busy doing Other things, so now I am back asking it again. Using OSC 2.2 MS1 .... I have already got an account set up with the USPS. and have it set up With other shops that I am running. So it is ready for Production. But when I run a test purchase, It does not display the Shipping Options? To the customer???? Has anyone had this issue? And if so, please by all means, let me know Wayne Carrz-Fox-Fire Promotions Thank You Wayne & Carr Barron
HQ Secure
I've struggled with this before. In the past I discovered that the USPS Production Server url is http://Production.ShippingAPIs.com/ShippingAPI.dll however OSC had it as http://production.shippingapis.com/shippingapi.dll I simply edited the files were I found this and it solved my problem. However today this approach fails to work with the latest CVs. I'm amazed to see some posts say 'Works Great' while others it never works. I can't get it working. Something is definately rotten in Denmark when you enter your USPS User ID and Password select Production Server and then get errors. I have downloaded the 02/21/2003 - USPS Methods 2.4 by Brad Waite / Fritz Clapp from the contributions section. In the Admin section of OSC under USPS I entered my UserID and Password and selected or deselected as appropriate to my situation. I have discovered if you select the weight option when attemting to checkout you will get a long pause then page full of errors.

HQ Secure
I have returned my install to its original files. Still receive this error: An error occured with the USPS shipping calculations. If you prefer to use USPS as your shipping method, please contact the store owner. In catalog/includes/modules/shipping/usps.php around line 254 switch (MODULE_SHIPPING_USPS_SERVER) { case 'production': $usps_server = 'production.shippingapis.com'; $api_dll = 'shippingapi.dll'; break; case 'test': default: $usps_server = 'testing.shippingapis.com'; $api_dll = 'ShippingAPITest.dll'; break; Changing shippingapi.dll to ShippingAPI.dll had no effect on the error. HQ Secure
Shipping now works. I backed up my db, downloaded 2.2MS1 from SourceForge and untarred it. Re-setup as a new install and restored my backup and all is well.
carrzkiss
nice to know that you got it to work for you. Mine still does not work, even after changing. the [shippingAPI.dll].... See my issue, is that, when you go to check out, it does not even show the "USPS" shipping options what so ever. The only thing that it shows is: Shipping Address Comments Continue Checkout Procedure So it does not seem that I have the same problem that you was experiancing. But I quess, when I get the time, I can go in and re-download, and then re-install the "OSC 2.2 MS1" And see if a new install will fix the issue. Thank You for your help. 26.2
Let me preface this post by saying I am half asleep and haven't had my first cup of coffee yet. I found the problems (plural). In the setup of the store I had to add more than one shipping method and ..... Ok, I don't remember. I am going to go get that cup of coffee and look at the site. I will come back and post again when i figure it out how I fixed the problem. aj "Of the things we think, say or do: Is it the TRUTH? Is it FAIR to all concerned?
