Shipping not available for selected shipping address

i am new to osCommerce and with the help from several people here I have gotten to a point where I have learned a lot about osCommerce.  I know that I still have a lot to learn and have the following problems.  I have installed my FedEx shipping module and my payment module with information from and help from the approprate organizations.

1. I created a user account and created a shipping address but when I select continue I get the following message  on the next page when I am trying to use Modules/Shipping  Table Rate only.

Shipping is currently not available for the selected shipping address. Please select or create a new shipping address to use with your purchase.

When I enable Zone Rates as well in Modules/Shipping then it the above message is not displayed.  When I select Continue on that page then I continue to Payment Information but the Shipping charge is $30 for a $7 purchase that weighs 1.5lbs being shipped from Nebraska to Michigan. I know that this is incorrct because the actual shipping cost for this normally is between $3.50 and $4.00.

2. The Accepted Credit Card Logos are incorrect -

currently the Logos displayed are "PayPal, Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Maestro".

the correct Logos that should be displayed are "Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover Card".

I have a a horizonal gif file displaying the Logos.

If someone could point me in the right direction to fix these problems would be appreciated.

Thanks

Tim

  1. Shipping is calculated using the tables you entered in your module. If you are not getting the right shipping cost, then your table is wrong, or some other setting in that module is wrong. Review your shipping settings and check the instructions for the module you are using.
  2. Log into your Admin, then click on Modules, then Boxes. Find the Card Acceptance box module and edit the settings. The cards are drag-and-drop in newer versions of osCommerce.

For future reference, always give your version of osCommerce when asking for help, as the instructions will often be quite different for different versions.
