kopawel Posted March 12, 2016 Posted March 12, 2016 Hi. I downloaded a oscommerce Online Merchant v2.3.4 full pakage. There was instruction inside zip file what to do. Files are already on a webserver, permitions to configure.php files are made and im getting ''Forbidden You don't have permission to access / on this server. Server unable to read htaccess file, denying access to be safe Additionally, a 403 Forbidden error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.'' Trying 4 hours, to change htacces file, permisions and still nothing. I've been watching movies on youtube with instllation process and everything was working for them, not to me.
MrPhil Posted March 12, 2016 Posted March 12, 2016 What operating system (Linux, etc.), what server (Apache, etc.), what permissions do you have for / (http://www.yourdomain.com/)? What permissions are on /.htaccess? Have you ever set up a web site before? On this server? Note that 777 permissions are forbidden on many servers (directories are normally 755 and files are normally 644).
