How to check what is actually adding to the cart

Hey,

 

i wondering how can i capture ID of product while adding it to the cart. In console i can see that clicking button "add to cart" returns POST method variable "?action=add_product", but when i try to use that variable to do something (for example display some random text) it looks like that variable is no longer exists.

 

Any idea how to solve that problem? Will appreciate any help.
