i need an easy add on to create discount codes to use on my site i need an easy add on to install if anyone could help

I would also suggest Gift Vouchers Traditional, though I'm not sure if the current version has been fully updated to work with 2.3. See this article for a comparison of the two.

Thank you for your reply , i was hoping for one that does not need any knowlage of sql as i am a novice 

does anyone know of one that is a very simple install ?

If you want to have more than one discount, then the database will have to be involved since that is how they are remembered. All of the addons have instructions for making the database changes and, while scary if you haven't done it before, it is not difficult.

 

I think this addon installs as a module so no database changes by you are needed. The downside is that you are limited to just one discount. But I could be wrong on this since I haven't looked at the addon in a while. You could ask in its support thread and maybe someone knows for sure. But since it is such a simple installation, it would be easier for you just to install and test it.
