jannFilters Posted January 11, 2016 Posted January 11, 2016 Hi all, hope you can help. I usually do a pretty good job of configuring my oscommerce install, but I am stumped on this one: My advanced_search.php searches category descriptions, and my advanced_search_results.php displays the category title and description. However, our categories have quite long descriptions, and in some cases they take up the width up the page. This becomes an issue as the full description is displayed in the advanced_search_results.php. Ideally, advanced_search_results.php would show category id/name, category image, and a short (or truncated) description. Any ideas? You can see an example of the issue in action here: https://www.filters.com/advanced_search_result.php?keywords=Tsunami+Automatic+Water+Separators&bs=true ^Scroll to the bottom to see a category description overflow. I've searched the forums and the web, but did not find any related to this.
AlexanderNick Posted January 12, 2016 Posted January 12, 2016 Hi 1 Change the layout of the pages so that the description was does not go beyond. See screenshot.2 or create a short description for a category, and use it
