Mr BMX Posted October 27, 2015 Posted October 27, 2015 OS Commerce version v2.2 RCa Server: Apache Hello, This website http://www.bmxkit.co.uk was set up three years ago but we notice that the links and navigation click through to blank pages and we can't log in either. Not sure if the database is ok (logged into myphpAdmin) and they all seem present and correct. Is there a check list for the names of the database files to make sure they are all present? Would an htaccess file be necessary? The website doesn't seem to have one. Would file permissions be affecting this? The admin folder is set to 755. Any help appreciated. Regards Steven
burt Posted October 27, 2015 Posted October 27, 2015 Host has likely updated PHP. What is the PHP version on the server ? Even 3 years ago, 2.2rc2a was well out of date. You could patch it up. Or better; migrate your data to a more recent version, either 2.3.4 or the Responsive version.
Mr BMX Posted October 27, 2015 Author Posted October 27, 2015 Thanks Burt, The PHP version is 5.6. There is an option to downgrade to 5.2 or 5.4 would that work? Regards Steven
burt Posted October 27, 2015 Posted October 27, 2015 If you go to 5.2...it might work. At that point, if you get it workable, it is time for you to go migrate your data to a newer version, as your host will eventually remove the 5.2 option altogether.
Mr BMX Posted October 27, 2015 Author Posted October 27, 2015 Thanks Burt, I will recommend that the website owner upgrades. Regards Steven
