dblevins
I have a problem, regarding my configuration for selling downloads. My ISP will not open the globals on the server to allow the download facility to work. I thought I had found a way around the problem by installing apache and serving the web site myself. However it seems that is not going to work either. I live in Spain and Spanish internet does not allow "loop back" so anything I am serving I am unable to see myself via the normal web address. I need to use an internal address in my browser or local host to see what I am doing. However now I have the web site built it cannot be seen from outside my router as all the addresses are directing to my internal address. If I try to reconfigure this so that the site is visible to the public, then I cannot see it myself form this side of my router. I figure I have only two options left but do not know how to configure for either. 1 is to serve the web site externally but somehow direct to my local server for downloads. or 2 To configure so that once someone visits the page all links direct to the address they have visited at. I know this can be done as I have already done it with a Radio Station web site I serve. When I log in at 192.168.xx.xx/Index I can see the page and all links direct to 192.168.xx.xx/wherever but from outside the router the visitor logs in at www.mydomainname.com and all links direct to www.mydomainname.com/wherever How can i configure oscommerce to do this. Sorry for the lack of technical terms but I am a novice with this.
