stevelockridge
I am a newbie at osCommerce and I have found a few things that just don't make any sense. One of those things is the completely random order in which osC sorts Product Attribute values. It isn't numerical. It isn't by Attribute ID. I can even enter the attributes in the order I want them in and osC scrambles them. Here is an example. I entered the following measurements (in this order, Attribute ID in parentheses to the right): 3.5 (35) 3.625 (36) 3.75 (37) 4 (38) Here is how it displays: 3.75 (37) 4 (38) 3.625 (36) 3.5 (35) I have looked at the add-on Product Attributes Sort Order v1.0 but the "step-by-step" instructions leave out a lot of critical information for a non-programmer newbie. Can anyone help me before I pack it in with osCommerce and move to something that actually makes sense? Thanks.
Jack_mcs
As I recall, the attributes are sorted by the option name. But that doesn't work if they are mixed with letters and numbers. Your best bet is to install the Attribute manager addon. It is fairly easy to install and allows sorting easily. Sam-AUST
Jack, I appear to have this and it worked for the first product I used it on (the template loaded all my t-shirt sizes in order), but the 2nd product I used it on, it totally scrambled the order and I don't seem to be able to sort them - any ideas?
