whenever i upload a banner image for the home page, os commerce resizes it 50%

whenever i upload a banner image for the home page, os commerce resizes it 50%.

 

i go to > marketing > banners and add a new banner

 

i enter the name of the banner, the position, type (graphic banner)., etc.

 

then i upload my 1200 x 469 pixel image.

 

then i save.

 

when i view that image, its resized to be 600 x 234.

 

why is os commerce doing that? is it a pixel resolution thing?

What version of osCommerce are you running? If you are using a template you should contact your template provider for support.
