So I created a key file, got a free comodo crt certificate, and bundle-file.

My site is actually on a free host who's proven to be reliable over the years.

In my ftp client I can't see the 'hidden' files and folders on the root just 'public_html'

Force showing hidden files does no good.

I don't know where to put these three files now, they're supposed to be in 'etc/ssl' I believe.

I tried just throwing them in a directory and corresponding link them in the configure, to no avail. still no ssl

what shall I do

Some hosts won't allow certs to be installed. If they will, your account has to have a private IP in order to have the cert work, which may not be possible with your host. But even if those are not problems, you can't just upload files. There needs to be a record in the accounts DNS for it to work. So you need to contact your host. They are the only ones that can help you with this.
