2.3.4 separate large image folder

hello, i cant seem to find anything on this,

 

upgraded from older osc cart to the newer 2.3.4 .

the old cart was setup to have thumbnails in the /images folder

and the larger (click on) images n the /images/large/ folder

 

after migration everything is working well, the thumbnails load

 

but... the issue now is what to do with the large images?

the new popup setup is ok, but i need to manually now add all the large images?

 

the issue with the 2.3.4 is all the thumbs\large\extra images are all in the same folder.

i don't want to install any fancy addons i have seen like. "protected images"

 

what i would like to have is:

 

thumbs\small in a folder like \images or\ thumbs

and all the extra larger images in \images_large or something

 

as not to stray to far from the stock setup, and keep it simple

any advice? thanks

I use select product image directory

This allows me to store images based upon category.  So you could store images based upon thumbs and extra large.

thanks, just installed and tested that

its not bad, simple install.

 

what i was hoping was to restore all the Large images from the old shop

thumbs /images/

large    /images/large

 

the issue is how to update all the listings to link the thumb to the large image

right now all the thumbs work but large images are just the thumbs.
