J-Spec Tuning
I was using a fake domain to develop a website as I didn't want to interrupt and screw up the production site. I installed Oscommerce v2.3.1, everything was working correctly including logging into the admin page. I then changed the primary domain name of the hosting. The front end works well but I cannot log into the admin page - I keep getting a login invalid msg. I used the script to delete the admin login. When I go into the admin page, it asks me to put in a new admin username and password. I do and when I try to login with the credentials that I just put in, it fails. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
J-Spec Tuning
Found out the problem. The configure.php in the /catalog and /admin/includes folder includes server information. I just changed the server settings to the new domain. Upload script and wipe out my admin id / password(http://addons.oscommerce.com/info/5857 - btw so important to delete the script when done. ) and enter a new admin id and password. All good now. MrPhil
Good to hear that you got things sorted out. By the way, why osC 2.3.1? That's positively ancient history. New stores should preferably be made with the current 2.3.4 or 2.3.4 Bootstrap (responsive). You're starting the race 3 laps back!
