henryli
Dear Members, I've just completed the OsCommerce 2.3.4 installation, with the "Step 5 Finished" showed to me. Then I followed the instruction to move the admin folder to another drive and set the configure.php to read only, without setting up my own products for sell on the front-end website. Now the ecommerce website template (front end) can display, but how can I upload my products' graphics onto it to swap the virtual products displayed on the template? I go to /catalog/admin/ to run the index.php, the browser tells me "the page might have been removed". (I moved out the admin folder as instructed, then realise the problem and move it back in, but the url field keeps looking at the new folder that I moved the /admin folder to, and displays error. So now I can't access the adminstration tools. How can I get it back? How can I upload my products' information? Thanks a lot for your help! allaboutwicker
You must have your admin/includes/configure.php file with the correct info of where to look for it to find the files. I would suspect you changed that and did not change back perhaps? Did you make a back up copy of all files as is highly recommended before making any changes so you can revert back if it does not go as planned? If this is a brand new set up and you have not made any major changes to site I would suggest a fresh install and start from scratch and perhaps consider the 2.3.4 BS version if not using it as that is the way to go in most peeps opinion for website to show best on mobile devices. tgely
@@henrylipossible you renamed your admin folder in install process. use your FTP program and visit your siteThese folders should be there: admin\download\ext\images\includes\install\pub\you should not find admin folder in your listed folders just you could see your real admin folder name. use it in login url osCommerce based shop owner with minimal design and focused on background works.
