azlori
I am stuck and am hoping someone can guide me in the right direction or already has a solution. :) Our store will be using USPS only but could use a "For dummies" guide how to set it up.. Do i need a specifi module or just configure native oSc addons? My store needs 2 shipping methods. Domestic (US) and International (both are a per item flat rate). $7.50 for Domestic (US) $15.00 Internation (everywhere else) No handling fee's, Taxes Only for Arizona, Usa - how can I implement this according to shipping address? thank you for any help!! Fresh install- oSc ver 2.3.
Guest
I know it can be done by cloning some php files; item.php> item2.php for 2 module install of per item Domestic & international, Problem I had, even after editing internal structure to _ITEM2, once I installed international shipping module+ Item2 oSc read both files, item.php & item2.php a same file. Wen editing either module, after install, all modifications or changed both. I re-named attached files to ref locations... lang_eng_mod_Ship_item2.phpmod_ship_item2.php I have seen how to do this with muti flat rate, thinking it would work for multi Per-Item too... Fresh install oSc 2.3.4 no addons, no other shipping modules installed... Thank you for any help!!
♥kymation
You don't need to copy any files. For exact USPS shipping, download and install this module. Follow the instructions and you will get exact quotes direct from the USPS for each order. If you want to do flat rates for multiple zones, download and install this module. Set up your tables according to the instructions in that module package. Set up your shipping zones according to the instructions that come with osCommerce. Note that shipping zones are set up the same as tax zones, they just don't have any associated tax rates. You can also find predefined shipping zones in the addons area for many popular zones. diannecl
Thank You Jim for pointing my in the right direction....I FINALLY GOT MY USPS SHIPPING MODULE INSTALLED AND WORKING CORRECTLY! I do have two questions... Whenever a potential customer clicks on the checkout button, this is what is displayed: Shipping MethodThis is currently the only shipping method available to use on this order. United States Postal Service 28 lbs, 9.6 oz Priority Mail™ Flat Rate Envelope $5.05 Priority Mail™ Legal Flat Rate Envelope $5.25 Priority Mail™ Small Flat Rate Box $5.25 Priority Mail™ Padded Flat Rate Envelope $5.70 Priority Mail™ Medium Flat Rate Box $11.30 Priority Mail™ Large Flat Rate Box $15.80 Library Mail Parcel $16.03 Media Mail Parcel $16.72 Priority Mail Express™ Flat Rate Envelope $18.11 Priority Mail Express™ Legal Flat Rate Envelope $18.11 Priority Mail™ $20.50 Priority Mail Express™ $37.65 Priority Mail Express™ Flat Rate Boxes $44.95 1. Clearly, the customer will choose the lowest price shipping, however, their products may not fit in their choice of shipping package, what should I do? 2. I do not want the words "Large Flat Rate Box" or any other descriptions appearing to the customers, how can I customize what will appear to my customers? ♥kymation
You can select the services that you want to offer. If your products will not fit in a certain size of box, remove that box from your selected list. You can also limit the weight of products that you will allow in a certain box to keep the customers from using that box for larger (and presumably heavier) products. If that doesn't work for you, just remove all of the flat rate boxes from your selections. The service names are trademarked by the USPS. It would be a trademark violation to rename them. We try not to do this. Regards Jim See my profile for a list of my addons and ways to get support.
