Add to cart from product_listing.php

Does anyone know of a working add on or a script that can be included into oSC 2.3.4 that will allow the user to add a product directly into the cart from the product_listing. php page and not forward to the individual product page as default?

It only forwards you if there are attributes/options assigned to a product.

If there are no attributes/options assigned you can place the item in the cart from the product listing.

If you want to add directly to the cart from the listing you will have to recode the buy_now action inside the application_top.php

and somehow add the selection of options inside the product listing.

Or maybe there is somewhere an addon out there that does already something like that? You could look through the addons section here http://addons.oscommerce.com/

Thanks for the heads up. Surprised how this features is not already built into the default build. I did find a JQuery cart that did this but the code is very different to my 2.3.4BS store and it didn't work that well. Still, onwards and upwards.....

You can add the "Pro" as it has no options/attributes.

You cannot add the explorer as it has options/attributes.

Thanks I never knew that and in fact it doesn't work on my project, I'll have to investigate and find out what's going on. I do have a number of modifications add to my product_listing page. Many thanks

Well thanks guys, sorted that little problem out but now have another niggle. If I switch off 'display the cart after adding product' in the admin, I can indeed add a product on the product_listing page but it will forward to the home page and not simply refresh back to the product_listing page I was previously on. I've checked a default store with 2.3.4BS and the same happens. Any ideas on how or if there is indeed a fix for this?
