Bob Terveuren
Hi Try a different browser- in the latest osC there's an htaccess/htpasswd setup that will force a popup into which you enter the admin user/pass, if that's correct then you go straight into the admin. If your browser has 'remembered' that popup login then you'll go straight in every time from that browser. So a different browser/PC should not log you in - if it does then panic and get back to us ;_)
MrPhil
What osC version? Is this the server password-protection ID and password, or osC's own admin ID? Do you see an entry popup or page for ID and password flash by? Even if your browser prefills the fields, it ought to stop and require input from you at that point. Could you be giving an extra (double) mouse click or Enter and not realize it? Can your particular browser be set to auto-Enter upon a password field? Maybe some can, and you should be able to turn that off. Don't forget that you should have renamed 'admin' to something else (unguessable) during setup. Hopefully you did, and are just giving 'admin' as a generic term.
Guest
I am having trouble in general just logging in to the Admin panel. I checked and rechecked the admin username and pwd...which is correct...but it sits there and looks dumb at me not allowing me to login at all. After 365 Hrs of work being logged successfully in yesterday...today it will not let me in. Any ideas why? How can I "fix" this without deleting my shop and starting all over again? MrPhil
Scott, please don't hijack an existing thread, especially as your problem sounds different. That will only confuse the issue as to who is answering whose question.
