MarcellaE
I believe your callback URL is not https. So yes, it's because your don't have an SSL cert installed.
Guest
Hello, I have the EXACT same problem as others are having here, even the fact that I have a godaddy hosting account, and cannot get the paypal module to work. Callback URL is wrong type; you must use the HTTPS. This is what I see at the top of the screen if I try to use the paypal shopping cart. And i receive a debug email with the following: RESPONSE: Array ( [TIMESTAMP] => 2016-02-10T16:36:18Z [CORRELATIONID] => a953f3bdeb75 [ACK] => Failure [VERSION] => 112 [bUILD] => 18308778 [L_ERRORCODE0] => 11813 [L_SHORTMESSAGE0] => Callback URL is wrong type. [L_LONGMESSAGE0] => Callback URL is wrong type; you must use the HTTPS. [L_SEVERITYCODE0] => Error ) How do I "use the HTTPS"?? What do I do to "enable" HTTPS?? I installed an SSL certificate on my website (well, to the best of my ability, I think I did it right), but it does not seem to make a difference. I have configured my paypal account with the proper API codes, and when I click the "Test API Server Connection" link, it says the connection is OK. If I disable the PayPal Express Checkout, it does not "do" anything when I try to use the checkout, it just doesn't go anywhere when I click to check out. This is my version, i installed it via the godaddy installation feature, and everything seems to be working fine except this issue. Version: 3.0 API Version: 112 I read the other posts on this forum about this issue, and it does not give a specific step by step description on how to configure/resolve this issue. I am not a programmer, and only semi-computer savvy, so I need direct instructions on how to configure this so it works. Can anyone help me to fix this and get my small store up and running? Thanks! :)

Guest
I guess there's no "real" support on this forum, I was really hoping that since supposedly thousands of people use this shopping cart that I might get some prompt assistance with it. :(
