osCommerce

The e-commerce.

osCsid stopping pages from displaying

Please be gentle.

I have a site www.kustoms.com.au/osc/

It has been working fine for the last 2 years and then 2 days ago; When you select any link on the page it does not display.

After a bit of playing around it turns out to be because of the osCsid suffix to the link as when you delete it the page appears.

I have done some searches and found some useful info to edit the config file, but it has not fixed the problem

Why has this happened now?

How do I fix it?

Are you using a URL rewriter? If so, turn that off and see if the problem is fixed.

Also ask your host what changes they made at the time this started.

Thanks Jim, I did contact my host and it seems I'm using an old version of osc and need to upgrade and also my host has updated to php 5.4 on the 5th of March, so there are probably some compatibility issues as well. This coincides with when the problems started happening.

That is probably the cause. Many old versions of osCommerce will not work properly with PHP 5.4. This is why we tell everyone to keep their version up to date.

If you need to pay someone to do this for you, I suggest posting in the commercial part of this forum.

Jim
