Exclude products from certain category in /products_new.php

Hello,

 

I have searched for hours and can not find the solution.

I hope someone can help me out. I have a category with products (cat id = 499) that i do NOT wanna see in the /products_new.php.

 

The code. How can i exclude the products from this category id?

 

$products_new_query_raw = "select p.products_id, p.products_model, pd.products_name, p.products_image, p.products_price, p.products_tax_class_id, p.products_date_added, m.manufacturers_name from " . "' and p.products_id = p2c.products_id and p2c.categories_id <> 499 order by p.products_date_added DESC";

 

I think I didn't make any mistakes, so you can just replace the block with this one
