I´m a total newbie at this.

Have only used the program for a coupe of hours.

I was looking around to try to figure out how everything works and suddenly all the text in the categorys look like this.

Have I done something?

Welcome

First rules of troubleshooting ...

1) Did it work before?

2) If so, what did you change?

That said, it looks like your /catalog/admin/includes/languages/ folders and/or files have changed, been renamed, or are corrupted

- or -

You have changed your /catalog/admin/includes/configure.php file

While it would be a good exercise in troubleshooting to determine what you changed (as this may well happen again), since you are just starting out, it may be faster to delete everything and install osC again.

Your "language" files, which define the text for something like HEADING_TITLE, are unreadable for some reason. In addition to causes that @Artcolnc listed, did someone change file permissions on anything? Typically files are 644 and directories are 755, but that can vary a little by system. You ought to be seeing some error messages logged somewhere.

I failed to ask:

Are you testing osC on a host's server, or on an in-house server? Is the server running Windows or Linux? Is the server running Apache or IIS? What version of osC are you using?
